Problem
People living with HIV often face challenges in discussing their health concerns with providers, leading to gaps in understanding treatment options and care strategies. ViiV Healthcare needed a digital solution that would:
- Provide structured guidance for doctor-patient conversations.

Understanding the Problem & Personas
- Dovato wanted to focus on patients looking to switch medication, shaping much of the logic behind the discussion guide.
- Identified key user groups, including newly diagnosed individuals and long-term patients managing treatment.
- Developed personas based on insights from patient advocacy groups and healthcare professionals to ensure relevance.
- Tailored content and functionality to meet the emotional and informational needs of users.
